The first hour of the day will be spent on testing new content and their most recent work. Students will then have a break and snack time. Students will then do a tajweed/makharaj class and followed with reviewing their old work. Students will also spend time learning new Arabic terms daily that will help them in memorizing and understanding the Quran.
The Jr. Hifdh program is a class to help 6-8 year old students learn how to fluently read the Quran using the Qaidah Norani. This class will prepare students to transition into the full time hifdh program. Although our main priority for students in this class is to become fluent in recitation, students in this class will work on hifdh, Arabic writing, Arabic vocab, and Islamic studies during the day. Students in the Jr. Hifdh class more activity based material for their age.
Our program is set up so a child is more responsible in their hifdh journey. A parent does not have to do revision work with their child, as our teachers complete all the testing work with the students. This helps parents be more hands off, and the student more independent.
Ayat Academy implements a point system and teaching strategies that encourage the strongest memorization habits in a fun environment. Students earn points for their work and behavior and rewarded with monthly fun activities.
Girls are to wear a black abaya with a white, black, or blue hijab. Boys are to wear a blue, black, or white thobe, and can wear a kuffi of the same colors. Girls and boys must be wearing clothes below the knees underneath thobes and abayays during break time. All members of the program are expected to follow basic hygiene rules as cleanliness is half the faith. Wearing deodorant, clean clothes, trimmed nails, etc.
Based on current results, our trained full time students are completing 1-2 azjaa a month. This also includes heavy review of their previous memorization (murajaa). The Ayat Academy program was designed to be faster and more efficient than other hifdh programs in order to avoid burnout. The program implements point systems and teaching strategies that encourage the best memorization habits out of students.
Ayat Academy is a year round program in order to help the students compete their hifdh journey sooner. We recommend families to limit long vacation time as much as possible to help students succeed better.
All of our teachers are credited with ijaza's and a combined 50+ years of teaching experience.
Ayat Academy implements a very strict tardiness policy to ensure the success of the student's. We ask that all students are in the class at 8am sharp, meaning they should be dropped off at 7:55 am. Students must be picked up no later than 5 minutes from dismissal. Students will lose points for tardiness.
